This Actor Was Caught Driving Without Licence, But...

This top actor loves all kinds of adventures -- big and small. While he gets to indulge in most of them during shoots and frequent vacays in exotic foreign locales, there’s a simple pleasure that eludes him -- driving.
The hunk loves to sit behind the wheels, but finds Mumbai’s traffic too nightmarish to attempt it. So, he basically treats himself to long drives whenever he’s shooting outside the city.
We hear, the moment he reaches an outdoor location, he asks his team for a luxury car with a yellow number plate (rental vehicles, re). And then, he goes vroom… to his heart’s content.
The actor followed this practice recently too, when he visited a North Indian capital city to shoot for the sequel of a much-acclaimed film. The moment he stepped out of the airport, he got into the driver’s seat of his rental car (a Mercedes, no less) and asked the asli driver to sit behind.
A few minutes into the drive, the traffic police stopped the vehicle and oh oh!!, the dishy actor didn’t have the special licence required to drive a rental four-wheeler. Now, had it been an aam aadmi -- say, you or me -- a heavy fine and lengthy sermon would have followed. Or maybe, we would have had to bribe our way out of the mess (we are not saying all cops are corrupt, but you know na…).
But in this case, neither happened. The traffic cops, sources say, couldn’t believe their eyes and luck when they realised that the violator was a Bollywood A-lister. So, they quickly got some selfies clicked and let the actor go. Just like that.
Stars, they say, should be role models. But…
